Congratulations to Gemma Fortunado, the 2023 recipient of the Deb and Dr. Allen Clyde Charitable Fund Scholarship. Gemma is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Agriculture Education with the goal of becoming a high school agriculture mechanics teacher.

Her long-term goal is to obtain a master's degree in Agricultural Science to research bees and honey production.  Gemma has a passion for working with livestock, especially horses, serving as a mentor to high school students, and discovering new opportunities in the field of agriculture.  The Deb and Dr. Allen Clyde Scholarship provides one $5,000 scholarship every year and is open to second year Fresno State students pursuing their bachelor's degree in agriculture, natural sciences, or health sciences.  Awarded students receive an ongoing $5,000 scholarship annually with the goal of young adults graduating with little to no student debt.  Applications for the 2024 Deb and Dr. Allen Clyde Scholarship will be announced soon.
