Carol Chandler received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis and her master's degree from California State University, Fresno. Before joining the family farm, growing grapes, peaches, plums, citrus and almonds, Carol taught in the San Joaquin Valley, including Fresno City College. She is the past state president of California Women for Agriculture, co-chaired the CSU Fresno Water Task Force, serves on the UC President's Advisory Commission on Agriculture and Natural Resources and was a member of the California State University Board of Trustees. The California State Legislature named Carol as Woman of the Year in 1992 and 2002. Today, Carol is a partner in Chandler Farms and a longtime advocate for agriculture and education.
