Jose A. Elgorriaga started with Univision Fresno in September of 1996 as National Sales Manager, and was promoted to General Sales Manager in April of 2003. His most recent promotion was in October of 2011, where he was named Senior Vice President/General Manager for Fresno television stations, Univision KFTV and Telefutura KTFF 61/KTFF-LP 41, as well as Bakersfield television stations, Univision KABE 39, Telefutura KBTF 31 and UPN KUVI 45. Jose will also oversee Fresno’s Univision Radio with radio stations, Que Onda KOND 92.1, Requerdo KRDA 107.5 and La Kalle KLLE 107.9. Jose was born and raised in Fresno. He graduated from Bullard High School, then attended California State University Fresno and graduated with a degree in Business Marketing. Jose played two collegiate sports at Fresno State, tennis and soccer and later was an assistant for his father, Dr. Jose Elgorriaga, Sr. and helped him coach the Fresno State Men’s Soccer Team. He has owned his own promotions company, promoting international sporting events, and handled the sports marketing for basketball coach Jerry Tarkarian. He also worked as an account executive for Telemundo. He has been working with the Hispanic Market for over 18 years. He is very involved in our community and attends many of the local events. He is a member of the Advertising Federation of Fresno, the Bulldog Foundation, and works closely with Children’s Hospital of Central California.
