3D Printing in the Classroom
The 3D Printing in the Classroom project aimed to introduce 3D printing into the classroom at the Alvina Elementary, offering students a creative outlet to design and fabricate three-dimensional objects using software like Tinkercad.
Students embraced the process, successfully designing and printing a range of projects. Students also tackled the challenge of adjusting their designs to meet printing specifications, sharpening their critical thinking skills, and teaching them the importance of planning and perseverance to achieve goals. Moreover, students have developed a basic level of engineering skills as they encountered and resolved various hardware problems with the 3D printer. This hands-on troubleshooting has provided invaluable practical experience and further enriched their learning journey.
