The grant funds provided students at Clay Joint Elementary with meaningful exposure to engineering concepts and postsecondary educational pathways. Students engaged in a STEM-based exploration of a theme park ride, analyzing the engineering components required to make it operate. They also visited a large college campus, an experience that was new for many students. This opportunity broadened their awareness of future academic possibilities and helped them envision themselves in higher education settings. Overall, the experience inspired increased curiosity, motivation, and belief in what they can achieve.
