CUSD Ethnic Studies Guide Inquir Project

The CUSD Ethnic Students Guided Inquiry Project brought together 9th grade students from Clovis East and Clovis North High Schools to present their in-depth research on local Fresno history during a district-wide, History Day-style showcase.

This collaborative event provided students with the opportunity to explore themes of identity, community, and representation through guided inquiry and historical investigation. Students shared their findings through creative and engaging presentations, encouraging dialogue and peer learning among participants. The showcase fostered cross-campus connections and highlighted the power of student voice in interpreting diverse narratives within our shared local history. By centering student-driven research and collaboration, the project promoted critical thinking, cultural awareness, and pride in the rich heritage of the Fresno community.
