Family Literacy Night
Burrel Elementary School hosted an exciting and engaging Family Literacy Night. The event was an excellent opportunity for students and their families to come together and participate in a range of literacy-based activities. Participants were able to take part in book walks, which involved walking around the room and stopping at different stations to read various books.
They also had the chance to get creative and explore their artistic side with fun and exciting arts and crafts activities. For those with a passion for cooking, there were cooking demonstrations where they could learn how to prepare healthy and delicious snacks. Games were also available, allowing families to compete against each other and have some fun. To top it all off, each participant received a library card and books donated by the Fresno County Library and Fresno County Migrant Education Department. It was an enjoyable and educational event that left everyone with a renewed love for literacy.
