Orange Center Elementary provided a variety of sports opportunities for students in 4th through 8th grade, including flag football, volleyball, cross-country, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field, made possible through the support of the Innovation Grant. Athletics served as a valuable avenue for students to learn teamwork, build leadership skills, and develop strong sportsmanship. Through participation, students strengthened problem-solving abilities, learned to collaborate effectively, and built resilience when facing challenges. The athletic program focused on teaching essential life skills such as commitment, dedication, responsibility, respect, and pride, while also helping students develop strong communication skills. To honor these efforts and accomplishments, the OC athletic department hosted a sports award ceremony recognizing the achievements of student-athletes and their contributions on and off the field.
