Lights, Camera, Interaction, and Innovation Project

San Joaquin Elementary School students were excited and engaged in learning how to fulfill their roles for the Lights, Camera, Interaction, and Innovation Project.

They were eager to start recording their pre-planned video assignments, revise and edit their videos, and then present them to an audience.  Their creativity and imagination inspired them to willingly venture into their complex projects that would have likely intimidated them if assigned as a formal report or presentation.  The use of a green screen allowed students to explore topics beyond the boundaries of their classroom, school site, and community, supporting their exploration of issues that interest them.  Their ability to collaborate and support each other through the more challenging aspects significantly improved.  As their videography skills advance, so will their productions' quality, stamina for iterations, and confidence to complete intricate projects.
