The Falcon’s Nest Pantry has become a vital resource for the Malaga Elementary community, providing consistent access to fresh produce, shelf-stable foods, household essentials, and student incentives. What began as a food distribution effort at Back-to-School Night has grown into a regularly stocked on-site pantry supported by dedicated staff and parent volunteers. In addition to addressing basic needs, pantry resources have been used to recognize positive behavior and encourage attendance, contributing to a school climate where daily attendance increased to 95% and chronic absenteeism decreased from 25% to 7%. The program continues to strengthen community connections and support student success both in and out of the classroom.
