Mental Health Care Advocating
Students advocated and promoted mental health care through the MHS NAMI Club and the Aztec Shop, Mendota High’s spirit store. MHS NAMI is fueled by research, activities, and guidance from the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) organization.
Students in the Business Career Technical Education/ Regional Occupational Program exercised their promotional skills by creating mental health care infographic flyers and demonstrating their machinery skills by designing MHS NAMI T-shirts. The promotional literature, T-shirt designing/creating, and awareness activities yielded school spirit and awareness to the overarching goal of presenting an exemplary model of advocacy for a philanthropic cause.
