The Portable Podcast Booth project was an exciting and meaningful addition to the 4th grade classroom at Alvina Elementary this year. Students quickly connected with the technology and embraced opportunities to create, collaborate, and express themselves in new ways. Using the pod lab, they recorded vlogs, historical figure video diaries, interviews, and collaborative discussions that brought history and ELA lessons to life. The project increased student engagement and confidence by tapping into media formats they already enjoy outside of school, especially for students who may not typically shine through traditional assignments. It also strengthened speaking and listening skills, collaboration, and creativity while introducing students to valuable communication and technology tools they can use in the future.
