The Mexican Folklorico dance group at Orange Center Elementary has evolved into a  multicultural dance group to reflect the student population. The Multicultural Dance group is open to students in grades two-eight giving them the opportunity to learn about the beauty of dances from Mexican and Hmong cultures. With the Innovation Grant, the program added traditional Hmong clothing for performers to utilize for rehearsals and for live community performances. Students who participate in cultural dance gain knowledge about the music and variety of dance styles from Mexico and from the Hmong culture. This is a great way to increase inclusivity and connectedness at school.
