The Percussion Club at Big Creek Elementary used Innovation Grant funding to provide students with a hands-on opportunity to explore rhythm, beat, and musical expression across a variety of genres. Students developed foundational music skills by learning note values, time signatures, and how to read percussion scores. They also created original rhythms and collaborated in group performances that built confidence and teamwork. The program culminated in performances for peers, families, and friends, fostering engagement and a greater appreciation for music.
