The highest rated designs were fabricated from scratch and were designed to be modular so they can be relocated to various events.  Students mastered core academic content through critical thinking skills such as analysis, research, listening, explanation, flexibility, fairness, objectivity, and reflection. They also learned how to work collaboratively with their peers, with students in other grade levels, students from other school sites, and community partners. This hands-on project helped students learn many lifelong skills.
