The annual theme of the competition series is selected by the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Committee of the City of Fresno and this year, the Committee celebrated 40 years of sharing Dr. King's vision for peace and unity.  This year's theme was Forty Years Later: Reflecting on the Past, Pursuing a Future of Inclusivity and Solidarity.
