Stay Safe, Stay Ready: First Aid Kits

The Stay Safe, Stay Ready: First Aid Kits project at Washington Union High School successfully increased awareness and engagement with the Union Health Clinic, a vital resource for students and families. The team developed branded materials to represent the clinic at community events and school functions and presented to 14 school leadership groups to further promote its services.

Through first aid education, distribution of kits, and the creation of a Health Passport to boost youth health literacy, the project empowered students with essential knowledge and tools to manage their health. It also engaged over 14 high schools across Fresno County, promoting health advocacy and facilitating transitions from pediatric to adult care. Stronger partnerships with clinic staff helped ensure the sustainability of these efforts. Overall, the initiative deepened community connections and supported healthier, better-informed youth.
