Virtual Reality in the Classroom

The Virtual Reality in the Classroom project provided a fully immersive learning experience for students at Alvina Elementary. A variety of applications helped students continue to enhance their learning experiences with this innovative technology. Students were able take virtual field trips across the world such as the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall, virtually build Anne Frank’s home and take a tour,

and experience the rich language that Poe in Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven uses throughout the poem by utilizing visual details, as well as virtually navigating the solar system.  The possibilities are endless for our students through these virtual experiences that spark a deeper understanding of the subject matter and the project kept them fully engaged.
