21st Century Skills Through Arts and Engineering was a project designed to help TK and Kindergarten students develop their ability to create, communicate, think critically, and collaborate. The Innovation Grant provided building kits and an abundance of art materials for students and their families to complete during a series of art and engineering activities and challenges. The activities were designed to promote and develop 21st century skills by challenging students to build a variety of structures and create a variety of art pieces which were designed to support and develop their understanding of the Science and Social Studies concepts and stories presented in our Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum. It was wonderful to listen to 4-6-year-olds communicate as they eagerly shared their creations with the class.
