Special Education Teacher, Crystal Aguilar, was able to purchase materials for high school ATP students that focused on all areas of transitioning, including vocational training, life skills, and employability skills. A Transition Assessment Package was also incorporated and it has proven to be very successful at targeting students’ interests for person-centered transition planning. It has been an invaluable measuring tool that is incorporated into meetings with parents, adult students, and the IEP team.  Whether online “Zooming” or in the classroom, these hands-on, realistic instructional materials connected the community to the students in a time when connecting as a group was a challenge. Ordering from a menu, filling customer orders, and practical math have been some of the student’s favorites.
