Serving over 206,000 students across Fresno County, The Foundation @ FCOE raised over $1.6 million in 2023-2024 to support programs and services that ensure students obtain a well-rounded education with Excellence, Access, and Innovation at the forefront.
Excellence: To support academic and co-curricular student events coordinated by the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, such as Academic Decathlon, College Night, Science Fair, Spelling Bee, Young Authors’ Faire, and Career Tech Expo.
Access: To help fund countywide programs that promote opportunities for student success, such as early care and education, empowerment and equity supports, graduation rate improvement, college and career-tech readiness, libraries, technology and more.
Innovation: To provide grants to school programs across the county that demonstrate innovation and improve student educational success.
The STEM for Girls Conference coordinated by the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools Math and Science Department was held in October. The conference welcomes students for a day to discover the robust opportunities available in STEM-related business and education careers.
You know the school year has started when the first student event takes place and what a great way to start with College Night. Every year this event welcomes thousands of high school students to help them plan and prepare for college and career.
This past month the Career Skills Challenge competitions were held at various Fresno County high schools. The Career Skills Challenge is coordinated by the FCSS, Career Technical Education/ROP Department and sponsored in part by Chevron.

The Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools hosted the 39th Annual Fresno County History Day, sponsored in part by EECU.
The Foundation @ FCOE is a steadfast supporter of increasing access to arts education in Fresno County schools. Research consistently demonstrates that the arts contribute to increased academic performance and self-confidence, enhanced communication skills, improved cognition, and allows students to express their creativity.

Ananya Vinay, Clovis Unified student and 2017 winner of the 90th Scripps National Spelling Bee, has a passion for learning and giving back to her community. In 2019, this passion inspired her to organize Project Ignite with contributions designated to funding innovative opportunities that engage students in learning and mastering essential skills in language arts and STEM.
